    The papers relating to the Neuhauser and Groeger families during the Holocaust consist of identification cards, birth certificates, a certificate of ancestry, photographs and a booklet entitled "Eere Begraafplaats" commemorating the lives of members of the Dutch resistance who died in the Holocaust. The papers specifically relate to Karl Groeger, Jr., son of Karl and Friederike Groeger, who was executed in Nazi-occupied Netherlands for his resistance activities.

    The collection consists of a photograph of the Izak Sznaper’s parents Abraham and Basia (née Bleiweiss) Sznaper and four of their 8 children; a photograph of Basia Sznaper and Izak’s grandmother, aunt, and uncle; a photograph of Izak’s cousins Frieda and Moriz Press; and a photograph of the Izak’s sister, Salka, and brother Mojsze. All of the photographs were taken near Wojnilów, Poland (Voynyliv, Ukraine).

    The papers consist of a letter written on pre-printed stationery by Josef Spitzer [donor's father] in Dachau concentration camp to his family in Vienna, Austria; a letter written on pre-printed stationery by Josef Spitzer in Buchenwald concentration camp to his sibling; a letter sent through the German Red Cross by Josef and Josefina Spitzer in Vienna to their daughter, Hermine Spitzer [donor] in England; and a letter sent through the British Red Cross by Hermine Spitzer to her parents in Vienna.

  9. J. Nestel letter

    The letter was written to Col. Wooten from J. Nestel in Salzburg, Austria, requesting that Capt. D'Jernes remain as commander in the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) displaced persons camp "Beth Bialik" (Jewish Transit Camp #2). Attached are 51 sheets containing 1,417 signatures from camp residents.

    The papers consist of a certificate issued by Varian Fry from the Emergency Rescue Committee that attests to the service of Marcel Verzeano and a certificate issued by the Unitarian Service Committee that attests to service of Marcel Verzeano.

  11. Stefan Zweig suicide letter

    This letter contains the text of the suicide declaration of the novelist Stefan Zweig, who took his life while in exile in Petrópolis, Brazil, in February 1942. The statement at the end of the first paragraph reads as follows:.".my spiritual homeland Europe, self-destructed." This version is likely a hand-written copy, from an unknown source. The original version of this letter is owned by the National Library of Israel.

    The papers consist of 15 photographs taken by Ernest Henry (donor's father) of the liberation of Buchenwald concentration camp and of American military life in Europe during World War II and a seven-page letter written by an American soldier in the 257th Engineer Combat Battalion describing his experiences from November 1944 to June 1945, including his time spent at Dachau concentration camp after its liberation.

    The collection consists of five photographs taken at the liberation of Dachau concentration camp and depicting freed prisoners, corpses, and a pile of clothing taken from dead prisoners.
