  1. GIBEROVITCH, Myra : Contributions of Montreal Holocaust Survivor Organizations to Jewish Communal Life

    The sound portion of the collection consists of 49 audio tapes, 1987-1990. There are transcripts of many of the interviews. The other textual records consist of background materials for her M.A. thesis, "The Contribution of Montreal Survivor Organizations to Jewish Communal Life" (McGill School of Social Work, 1988), with information on key participants from Canada's large community of Holocaust survivors. The collection includes issues of The Voice of Survivors (magazine), 1963, 1966 and Voice of Radom (magazine), 1980-1987.

  2. Henry Morgentaler and Gertrude Katz

    This fonds is divided into three sections. The first consists of correspondence, writings, and other materials that directly pertain to Dr. Henry Morgentaler or were authored by him. The second section consists of documents pertaining to Gertrude Katz's role in the Morgentaler Clinics, her professional and creative writings, and her volunteer activities. The third consists of additional biographical material donated by Gertrude Katz, including information about other family members, notably about the World War II experience of her husband Carl in the merchant marine.

    Documents relating to his internment at Ile aux Noix camp, also about his grant to Queen's University. Includes photocopies of the official diary of the Canadian camp commandant.

  7. HAIBLEN, Alfred : Internee and Post-Internment Papers

    Several folders of correspondence with various Canadian and American family friends and sponsors, McGill university documents, all from the late 1930s and early to mid-1940s.
