    The collection consists of 13 linear feet of Child Adoption Case Files (Sub-series of the Holocaust-Era Record of the Jewish Labor Committee), arranged alphabetically by name. Files were created by the Child Adoption Program of the Jewish Labor Committee between 1946 and 1960. Size and contents of individual files vary greatly; contain brief biographies and photos of the children, as well as correspondence, memos, and other documentation relating to the support of each child.   2. Holocaust-era records of the Jewish Labor Committee Displaced and refugee card files

    The collection consists of records of the Displaced Persons and Refugee Card files (Sub-series of the Holocaust-Era Records of the Jewish Labor Committee). The thousands of cards provide biographical information on refugees, most of them in DP camps in Germany. The files are divided in several series, and each series is arranged alphabetically.

Also collection contains interrogations of ex-guards in concentration camps, liberation photographs, published testimonies,essays, clippings related to antisemitism, prosecution of Jewish in France, and to the Vichy politics.

  7. Selected records from the Départmental Archives of Drôme, France

    Contains materials relating to deportations, internment camps, foreigners resident in Drôme, France, and subject to arrest and deportation, declarations of Jewish heritage, directives concerning treatment of Jews, name lists of persons interned and deported, and movement of refugees. Also contains a brief history of refugee artists in the town of Dieulefit, France.

    Collection contains predominantly published materials and some correspondence related to antisemitism, war refugees, persecution of Jews in France and to Vichy politics. Records include brochures, essays, clippings, newspaper illustrations and office documents.

    Collection of administrative material relating to Flossenbürg collected by the US Army in connection with war crimes trials. Includes alphabetical lists of over 100,000 inmates. The information on each inmate consists of prisoner number, category of prisoner, family and personal name, date and place of birth, date of arrival and date and nature of fate, i.e., died, transferred, released, etc.

    This collection documents the activities of the Special Commission of the Central Committee of Jews in Poland. It contains protocols; reports related to antisemitic incidents; statistical documents; correspondence; and civil defense plans for Jewish properties in Białystok, Częstochowa, Kraków, Opole, Sosnowiec, Szczecin, Zabrze, Otwock, and Wrocław. It also contains lists of individuals who collaborated with the Germans, the Jewish Committees in various cities, employees of Special Commissions, places for Jewish defense, and weapons held by the Special Commission.

  16. Mannheim synagogue program

    This program for the music sung during the High Holy Days in 1938 at the Hauptsynagogue in Mannheim, Germany. It was written by Samuel Adler's father, Hugo Adler, the last chief cantor of the synagogue, and brought to this country by the second cantor of the synagogue, Erwin Hirsch. At the end of this memo, Hugo Adler writes: "Last High Holy Days in Germany; to be continued in the world to come. (Baolam Haba) All of the Mannheim synagogues were destroyed on Nov. 10, 1938, and by 1940 there were no Jews left in Mannheim. There were also no more services after the Yamim Horaim of 1938.

    Contains original court transcripts from the trial against Klaus Barbie for war crimes. On May 11th, 1987, after 4 years of pre-trial investigation in Lyon, France, Klaus Barbie's trial opened.
