    Contains digital reproductions of lists of deported persons of Judeo-Spanish ancestry who were deported from France. These are provisional lists and include information forms, some with photographs, on individuals, as well as people names found on lists at the Spanish Consulate in Paris, 1940.

  2. Carrol Walsh letter

    The Carrol Walsh letter was written by World War II veteran and liberator Carrol Walsh to Holocaust survivor Stephen Barry on April 10, 2008. Walsh, who liberated Barry from a train on the outskirts of Magdeburg, Germany, on April 13, 1945, writes about their friendship. Walsh also describes how unworthy he feels when survivors express their gratitude to him. He believes that the liberating soldiers were doing what they were morally obligated to do.

Rosette's father was interned in a number of French internment camps, while Rosette, her mother, and her younger sister Jeanine (born 1942) hid in France and Belgium with the help of OSE.
