Juli 1961 aufgrund des Sechsten Gesetzes zur Änderung und Überleitung von Vorschriften auf dem Gebiet des gewerblichen Rechtsschutzes vom 23. März 1961 (BGBl. I , S. 274) als unabhängiges und selbständiges Bundesgericht mit Sitz in München errichtet. Das Bundespatentgericht gehört insofern zur ordentlichen Gerichtsbarkeit, weil es gemäß Art. 96 Abs. 3 GG im Rechtszug unter dem Bundesgerichtshof steht.   4. George C. Gross photographs

    Consists of photographic negatives of images of the "death train" from which concentration camp prisoners from Bergen-Belsen were liberated near Farsleben (near Magdeburg, Germany) in April 1945. The prisoners had been placed on the train and departed Bergen-Belsen prior to the camp's liberation though the train had no intended destination. The images were taken and acquired immediately by George Gross, who was part of the 743rd Tank Battalion which secured the train while others in the unit sought provisions for the newly liberated prisoners.

    The collection contains correspondence files with local branches of the Karen Hayesod across Lithuania from 1920 to 1940 concerning a registration of local organizations fundraising activities for the Jewish settlements in Palestine before World War II. Also includes minutes and correspondence of Zionist organizations worldwide, local banks, Lithuanian government authorities, bylaws of the organization and its branches, a donors list, cashiers books, and financial reports.

    Contains the photocopies of six depositions and relating to mass killings of Soviet civilian Jews and Soviet Jewish prisoners of war from Starokosti︠a︡ntyniv, Vinnyt︠s︡i︠a︡ Gaysin, and Uman in Ukraine. The killings took place in Kirovohrad, Ukraine, around September 1941, and were carried out by Police Battalion 304. The depositions were used by the German Democratic Republic as prosecution evidence in war crimes trials held in Halle, circa 1970 to 1988.
