    • Collection of Chetnik records

    Records were created by Chetnik military units and authorities in Herzegovina from 1941 to 1945. Chetnik groups were involved in civil war against Communist Partisans and acted as collaborators of German and Italian forces. Includes reports and orders of Chetnik HQ for eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina, military action information, arrests, reports about political situation in Herzegovina, status of Chetnik units, reports of intelligence officers, etc.

    • Ustasha Headquarters and the Commission for former Vrbas banovina (province) Banjaluka

    Contains records of local Ustasha regime in Banjaluka, which was also the seat of former Vrbas province (banovina) in Yugoslavia. Ustasha movement led the Independent State of Croatia (Nezavisna Država Hrvatska) as a puppet-state of Nazi Germany and Italy. In accordance with that, it followed series of Nazi-approved laws regarding racial purity. Ustasha's persecuted Jews, Serbs, Roma, etc.

    Records contained in this small fond were created by the Police Directorate of the county, under the Independent State of Croatia, puppet state of Nazi Germany. This state and its police force persecuted Serbs, Jews, Roma, etc.

    Contains records of local, municipal government of Banjaluka for 1941-1954, during the Independent State of Croatia's rule.

    The fond contains records collected in 1952. and includes information about deceased and killed persons during the Second World War from the area of Mostar's county. Data includes names and surnames, places and dates of birth, location and circumstances of arrest (if any), place and circumstance of death, participation in Partisan units, etc.

    Contains records of reorganisation of Regional committee, invites for members to Third ZAVNOBiH conference, monetary changes, population supply issues, personnel files, etc. Part of the fond is the material of "Okružna uprava narodnih dobara" (The Office for Regional Management of public property), which contains information about confiscated property.

    Documentation created by the authorities of the Independent State of Croatia and Ustasha and domobran (militia) military units in the period 1941-1945. Contains reports of Ministries of the Independent State of Croatia regarding political and military circumstances, reports of Italian military missions and their deployment, details about policies and orders, conflicts with Chetnik forces, reports of police/militia stations, details regarding the activities of Communist "rebels", lists of arrested persons, minutes from interrogations of arrestees, etc.

    • Collection of Partisan records

    Includes records created by Communist authoriries, Communist Party and other social-political organizations in Herzegovina during Second World War. Contains reports of regional committee, reports regarding the situation in Herzegovina, minutes from meetings of local Communist Party branches, orders and reports of headquarters and Partisan units, propaganda material, etc.

    Records contain data of Communist government in the region (Mostar, Trebinje, Bileća, Gacko, Nevesinje, Stolac, Konjic, Čapljina, Ljubinje, Ljubuški, Posušje i Široki Brijeg) during and after World War 2 and the aftermath of the Holocaust.

  14. Collection of photographs and documents

    The Museum owns a collection of mostly photographs that depicts old synagogue, Jewish cemetery in Bihać, Jewish stores before the Second World War, etc. While basic, it might still be valuable for research into local Jewish community and Holocaust.

  15. Document collection of the Museum

    The part of Museum dedicated to Bosnian Jews (Jewish Museum) is located in old synagogue, in Sarajevo. The collection contains plenty of exhibits, but it also includes documentation and archival material among which are photographs, movie scripts, illustrations and paintings, lists of non-Jews who assisted or hid Jews during the Holocaust, book of Jewish victims, diaries, etc

    During the second meeting of AVNOJ, on 21st of November 1944 a decision was made to seize all property of enemies of the state, and to introduce state management over properties of absent persons, as well as manage and resolve the status of properties seized by occupying powers during World War 2.     • The Committee for war damages in Bosnia and Herzegovina

    Contains reports of war damages (1941-1945). the Committee, formed in 1945, had a goal to collect, process and make estimates regarding the damages and losses that occured during the Second World War in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It finished its work and collected all relevant data by 1946, but it was abolished in 1950.

    Records of seized companies and their status (nationalized, sold, etc.). Contains documents related to inventories of Jewish shops seized by the state. They encompass records of both the State Agency for Economic Renewal in Zagreb and Union of "Napredak" cooperatives in Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Osijek.
