    This is an exceptionally valuable fonds regarding political, economic, social and cultural history of an important part of the Sudetenland Reichsgau (Sudeten Reichs Region) in 1938–1945.   5. Amtsgericht (District Court) of Poběžovice

    The fonds contains archival materials from the lowest instance of the judicial administration in the annexed border region in the years 1938–1945. In the library requests from 1940 it is possible to trace archival materials attesting to the sale of the synagogue in Meclov (box 76, file 291-40) or archival materials from 1939–1940 documenting the dissolution of the Jewish Religious Community in Poběžovice and the entrusting of its property to the care of the Aufbaufond (construction fund) and the subsequent transfers of these assets (box 75, files 380-39, 379-39, 391-39, 352-40).

    The fonds contains archive materials for the history of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague 1, including personal files of employees, in many cases leading Czech artists. The fonds also includes archival materials towards the persecution of the Jewish population during World War II, namely on the prohibition of the private teaching of Jewish children from 1940 (inv. No. 331).

  7. Amtsgericht (District Court) of Žacléř

    The fonds of the Amtsgericht (District Court) in Žacléř includes sources of the judicial administration. The data about the persecution of Jewish people during the Nazi occupation can be found in the file labeled The Settlement between the Crown and the Reichsmark in the Sudetenland Territory, dealing with the foreign currency funds of Jews and Poles - generally from 1941, filing No. 13, inv. No. 154, call No. 72. In the fonds there are also files relating to churches and religious associations where information on the Jewish population of the judicial district can be found, too.

  8. Landrat (District Councillor) of Králíky

    The archival fonds includes documents related to the accounting and social work matters, correspondence, filing cabinets and statistics. There is one inventory number concerning Jewish history directly: an overview of homesteads left by Czech and Jewish refugees.

    The fonds contains records of the state authority and of the self-government of the Jablonec nad Nisou district (1938–1945).     The fonds contains documents of the Mladá Vožice District Court from (1836) 1850-1949 concerning the civil and criminal agendas, as well as the agenda for the establishment of new land registers. As part of the inheritance agenda (file no. D) there are the inheritance proceedings of Jews who died during World War II, for example in concentration camps, dealt with especially in 1946.

    The fonds contains archival materials concerning the religious and cultural history of Czechoslovakia in particular. It also contains sources for Jewish history, namely the correspondence (probably from the World War II) with the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Office in Prague on Jewish employees and the legal status of Jews (Inv.     Stored in the Photo Archive Collection of the Jewish Museum in Prague are several thousand photographs taken between the start of the 1940s and the present day.     The fonds contains relatively comprehensive documents of the self-government of the municipality of Tršice. The files of the fonds contains anti-Jewish decrees and regulations and lists of Jews deported in June 1942 to Terezín, all from 1941–1943.
