Von dort wurden die Akten 1968 an das Bundesarchiv, Abteilung Militärarchiv abgegeben. Diese Akten waren bisher im Sammelbestand RL 7 (Luftflottenkommandos) zusammengefasst. Zur besseren Darstellung der einzelnen Provenienzen wurden Nebenbestände zu RL 7 angelegt.
