He confiscated cattle from the locals, fined and beat the locals, participated in deporting Soviet citizens to forced labour in Germany, drew up lists of local Jews, according to which the Germans later shot them, drew up lists of Soviet activists and communists and handed them over to the Gestapo.

He participated in the interrogation and torture of Soviet activists, and handed over Jewish workers to the police.
