Biographical History
According to the 1918 act of union of Bessarabia with Romania, there were introduced changes in the territorial-administrative division of the territory between Prut and Dniester rivers. The territory of Bessarabia was divided into counties, which were divided into several districts. The lower administrative unit was a commune, which united several localities. At the head of each district, there were the prefects. District prefectures managed political, administrative, and economic life of the district. The prefectures had several district councils (apart from various departments) which consisted of five committees: a control and administrative committee, a financial committee, an economic committee, a committee of cults and education, a committee of sanitation, a committee of public works (of construction). Administration of the subordinated preturas was headed by a sub-prefect with its own staff of officials - a sub-prefecture. In 1925, the post of sub-prefect was abolished and the post of praetor was introduced. Management of the subordinated preturas has become known as a pretura. The Pretura did not have any structural subdivisions, nor did it use the right of a legal entity. All of these bodies ceased to exist in Bessarabia in 1940, but were returned in 1941-44. In 1941-44 Romania also included territory between the rivers Bug and Dniester. The territory of the left bank of the Dniester river was divided into 3 districts: Dubasari, Ribnita, and Tiraspol. Documents of archival funds of prefectures, subordinated preturas and city halls are not fully preserved.
Scope and Content
Orders of the pretura of Volontiri district. Minutes of meetings of the committees coordinating the work of city (town) halls. Orders of the Bessarabian governor on administrative matters. Correspondence on administrative issues, on the number and composition of the population, on agriculture. Minutes of meetings of commune’s councils. Minutes of meetings of the magistrates. Information on issues of education and cults, on sanitation, on road construction. Requests from residents to issue various certificates. Documents on the requisition of food, cattle and horse-drawn transport from the population, the mobilization of the population in the Romanian royal army (census list of youth conscription) and on forced military work. Housing census statements. Certificates of property status, certificates of Romanian citizenship. Lists of villagers. Requests of villagers to have released their Romanian citizenship; to change their names to Romanian names. City hall budgets and performance reports. Information about market prices for food. Lists of enterprises of local industry and commerce, etc.
The fund contains the following groups of files: City hall Antonesti (1933-1944, 22 files); City hall Volontir (1936-1944, 100 files); City hall Caplani (1941, 1 file); City hall Carahasani (1926-1950, 120 files); City hall Corcmaz (1920-1944, 80 files); City hall of Cornesti (1925-1942, 27 files); City hall of Olaneshti (1926-1944, 78 files); City hall Plataresti (1921, 1 file); City hall Palanca (1925-1943, 28 files); City hall Purcari (1929-1944, 29 files); City hall Rascaieti (1937-1944, 48 files); City hall Slobozia (1941-1944, 19 files); City hall Tudora (1936-1943, 56 files).

Biographical History
С вхождением в силу акта объединения Бессарабии с Румынией 1918 г. были введены изменения в территориально-административном делении пространства между реками Прут и Днестр. Вся территория Бессарабии была разделена на уезды, которые делились на несколько районов (плас). Низовой административно-территориальной единицей была коммуна. В нее входили один или несколько населенных пунктов. Во главе каждого уезда были поставлены префекты. Уездные префектуры осуществляли управление политической, административной и хозяйственной жизнью уезда. При них, кроме отделов и служб, действовали уездные советы, куда входили пять комиссий: контрольная и административно-финансовая, экономическая, культов и просвещения, санитарная, общественных работ (строительная). Администрацию пласы возглавлял субпрефект со своим штатом чиновников – субпрефектурой. В 1925 году должность субпрефекта была отменена и введена должность претора. Управление пласой стало называться претурой. Структурных подразделений претура не имела, она не пользовалась и правом юридического лица. Все перечисленные органы прекратили свое существование в Бессарабии в 1940 г., но были возвращены в 1941-44 гг. В 1941-44 гг. в состав Румынии также вошла территория между реками Буг и Днестр. Территория левобережья Днестра делилась на 3 округах: Дубэсарь, Рыбница и Тирасполь. Документы архивных фондов префектур, претур и примарий сохранились не полностью.

Приказы претуры пласы Волонтирь. Протоколы заседаний комитетов содействия работе примарий. Распоряжения Бессарабского губернаторства по административным вопросам. Переписка по административным вопросам, о численности и составе ее населения, по вопросам сельского хозяйства. Протоколы заседаний коммунальных советов. Протоколы заседаний мировых судов. Сведения по вопросам просвещения и культов, о санитарии, строительстве дорог. Прошения жителей о выдаче справок. Документы о реквизиции у населения продовольствия, скота и гужевого транспорта, о мобилизации населения в румынскую королевскую армию (ведомости переписи молодежи призыва) и на принудительные военные работы. Ведомости переписи жилого фонда. Удостоверения об имущественном положении, о румынском подданстве. Списки жителей села. Протоколы жителей села об изменении своих фамилий на румынские. Бюджеты примарий и отчеты об их исполнении. Сведения о рыночных ценах на продовольствие. Списки предприятий местной промышленности и торговли.
