Biographical History

According to the Decree of the Romanian Government no. 2770 of October 9, 1918, county courts/tribunals were established in Bessarabia. They dealt with the examination of criminal and civil cases, except for crimes committed by minors. The tribunals may also have examined the cases as an appeal inspection, re-examining the petitions of innocence. The cases were placed in county tribunals only if the offender lived or committed the offense within the county.

The county tribunals were formed in two sections: criminal and civil. Based on the amendments of December 25, 1926, cases unresolved in the tribunals could be handed over to the Court of Appeal in Chisinau.

Judges of the county tribunals were appointed by royal decree, at the proposal of the Ministry of Justice. In the same way there were appointed prosecutors and secretaries of the tribunals.

They county tribunals disbanded in 1944.

Scope and Content

Correspondence on judicial matters; lists of employees of the tribunal and its subordinate organizations; lists of persons with weapons; the case of Romulus Botianu and his allies, accused of beating a group of Jews and damaging Jewish houses; cases accused of communist agitation; the case of Auslenyar Shai, accused of participation in an underground communist organization, etc.

Biographical History

Согласно постановлению правительства Румынии №. 2770 от 9 октября 1918 г., в Бессарабии были созданы уездные трибуналы. Они занимались проверкой уголовных и гражданских кадров, за исключением преступлений, совершенных несовершеннолетними. Трибунал можг также проверять дела в качестве апелляционной инспекции, повторно изучав ходатайства о невиновности. Дела передавались на рассмотрение в окружной трибунал в суд лишь в том случае, если преступник жил или совершил преступление в данном округе/уезде/жудеце.

Трибуналы делились на две секции: уголовную и гражданскую. На основании поправок от 25 декабря 1926 года те дела, по которым не было достигнуто окончательного решения в рамках трибунала, могли быть переданы на рассмотрение в Апелляционный суд в г. Кишиневе (Кишинэу)

Судьи уездных трибуналов назначались королевским указом по предложению Министерства юстиции. Точно так же назначались прокуроры и секретари трибуналов.

Уездные трибуналы были расформированы в 1944 году.

Переписка по судебным вопросам; списки служащих трибунала и подведомственных ему организаций; списки лиц, имеющих оружие; дело Ромулуса Ботяну и его сооюзников, обвиняемых в избиении группы евреев и разгроме еврейских жилищ; дела обвиняемых в коммунистической агитации; дело Аусленяра Шаи, обвиняемого в причастии к подпольной коммунистической организации и др.
