Technické oddělení
Scope and Content
Technické oddělení zajišťovalo různé stavební a technické práce v ghettu. Patřilo k němu Stavební oddělení zajišťující menší přestavby, oddělení veřejných prací, které řídilo např. stavbu železniční vlečky z Bohušovic do Terezína a stavby silnic. Dostatečný příkon elektrického proudu a vody zajišťovalo Oddělení veřejných podniků spolu s péčí o kanalizaci.
Další skupinou byla Ústředna údržby budov. V rámci Technického oddělení bylo i oddělení grafiky a reprodukce, kde byly vyhotovovány různé rysy a nákresy a v němž pracovala řada známých terezínských výtvarníků.
Technische Abteilung

Die technische Abteilung hatte verschiedene Bauarbeit- und technische Tätigkeiten im Ghetto zu besorgen. Dazu zählte die Bauabteilung, die für kleinere Umbauten zu sorgen hatte, die Abteilung für öffentliche Arbeiten, die z.B. den Bau vom Anschlussgleis von Bauschowitz (Bohušovice) nach Theresienstadt und den Straßenbau leitete. Die Abteilung für öffentliche Betriebe hatte für ausreichende Stromaufnahme und Wasserzufuhr sowie für die Pflege um Kanalisation zu sorgen. Eine weitere Gruppe bildete die Gebäudeerhaltungszentrale. Unter die Technische Abteilung fiel auch die Abteilung für Graphik und Reproduktion, wo verschiedene technische Zeichnungen und Aufzeichnungen verfertigt wurden, und wo auch eine ganze Reihe von namhaften Theresienstädter bildenden Künstlern tätig war.
Technical Department
Scope and Content
The Technical Department secured various construction and technical works in the ghetto. It included the Construction Division, which undertook minor reconstructions, and the Public Works Division, which among other things supervised the construction of railway sidings from Bohušovice to Terezín and the construction of roads. The Public Enterprises Division saw to the supply of electricity and water and to the maintenance of the sewer system. The Technical Department also included a Central Office of Building Maintenance, as well as a Print and Reproduction Department, which prepared various designs and sketches and employed a number of famous artists.
