    The papers consist of a service record booklet for the German military and a German passport ("Reisepass") issued to Kurt Stern donor's father, a Reisepass issued to Hilde Metzger [donor's mother], and one school diploma issued to Kurt Stern in Germany in 1927.

    The papers consist of documents, correspondence, and newsletters produced in Theresienstadt (Terezín), Czechoslovakia, after World War II.

  16. Clogs

    Clogs: found in the liberated Buchenwald concentration camp in Germany by donor who was a member of the United States Army Ambulance Corps and was visiting Buchenwald after liberation. He found them in Buchenwald and sent them back to his family in New Jersey.

  17. Arthur Riegel papers

    Photocopied memorial book and news clippings about events to commemorate Elsa Rauch, a school teacher from Lueneburg, who was deported to Łódź and eventually gassed at Chelmno in 1942. Her former students gathered together in 1993 to dedicate a memorial plaque to her, with Arthur Riegel apparently leading this action. Included is a photocopied booklet (37 pages) with a biography of Rauch, copied documents, and typescript copies of correspondence.

    Collection contains correspondence, in Yiddish, and official documents issued to Esther Sonheim [donor] including a Polish passport; a green card issued by the U.S. Immigration Agency; and receipts for food packages which were sent by the donor and her aunt from Chicago, IL to family members in Warsaw.

  19. Never Forget Me Personal expression regarding the Holocaust

    Contains song commemorating the victims of the Holocaust. Cantor Victor Beck composed it in 1991 after visiting the Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, Israel. The lyrics were written by Cantor Beck and his mother Mrs. Phyllis Beck. The piece is sung by the composer with orchestral accompaniment.

  20. Jeanette Meyer collection

    Includes a "Deutsches Reiche Reisepass" issued to Jeanette Klugmann (donor) on November 25, 1938, in Nuernberg-Fuerth, Germany. Black and white photograph of bearer affixed on page two; stamped with red "J" on front page; includes visas for France and the United States.
