  1. Stoops-Cleymans family. Collection

    This collection contains a pre-war photograph of the kosher restaurant and delicacies shop "Ringer" in Brussels and photo of an unidentified (Jewish?) woman, a friend of the donor's mother.

    A diplomatic service passport issued by the Republic of Liberia, represented by Baron O. de Bogaerde, Minister Plenipotentiary, to Matus and Chaja Kugel-Rubin, granting them diplomatic immunity and allowing them to travel to Spain and Portugal. The passport also contains wartime visa for Italy and Monaco.

  8. Maison de la Miséricorde orphanage, Heverlee. Collection

    Digitised postcards of indoor and outdoor spaces at the House of Mercy (Maison de la Miséricorde/Huis der Barmhartigheid), an orphanage in Heverlee, where over 70 Jewish children were hidden by catholic nuns during the Second World War.

  9. Kluizen - Coffres-forts. Collection

    This collection consists of the bank vaults which were not claimed by their original owners post-war. The owners were both Jewish and non-Jewish war victims or refugees who did not return to Belgium. The vaults do not contain any valuables, but documents including securities and personal documents, family photos, and objects such as cutlery, photo cameras and tableware. This collection is not accessible to third parties. Relatives who might be entitled to the content of one of the vaults are requested to contact archives@kazernedossin.eu

  10. In memoriam - Kurt Lowenstein. Collection

    The item in this collection is an In Memoriam dedicated to the memory of dr. Kurt Lowenstein (1885-1939), a German socialist politician and a founder of the Socialist Youth of Germany - Red Falcons (Rote Falke).

  11. Propagandistic publications and war-time newspapers. Collection

    This collection consists of one letter and ten publications, including Belgian and international war-time and immediate post-war newspapers (Volk en Staat, Het Algemeen Nieuws, Het Belang van Limburg, La Libre Belgique, Der Mitteldeutsche, The Western Daily Press and Bristol Mirror) as well as propagandistic and/or anti-Semitic booklets (“Terreur tegen paus en Vaticaan”, “Dat had Europa van het Bolsjewisme te verwachten”, “De Beestmensch” and “Vleugels der Overwinning”).

    This collection contains four photos, which portray the following persons: Fajga Moszkowicz, Salomon Herszman, Helene Herszman, Siegfried Herszman and Henriette Herszman. There is also the first Polish passport issued to Helene Herszman in 1948.

    This scrap book contains hundreds of clippings from presumably French, Belgian and Italian newspapers on the trial of Adolf Eichmann.

  15. Oral History and interviews

    This fond contains interviews on audio tapes and their transcriptions, as well as notes taken by researchers of the institute during the interviews. These interviews were part of the project "Oral History of the Jews in Belgium" (Histoire orale des Juifs de Belgique). The interviews were mostly conducted by Daniel Dratwa et Bernard Suchecki, and reviewed by Willy Bok.   16. Royaume de Belgique - Album photographique de Membres des services de Police allemands et de suspects de Crimes de Guerre. Collection

    This item contains lists and portraits, when available, of German staff members and Belgian collaborators working for the Sicherheitspolizei und Sicherheitsdienst (Sipo-SD) and the Geheime Feldpolizei (GFP) in Brussels. The lists consist of the name and place and/or date of birth of a suspect, and his or her position in the organisation.

  17. Photographic archives

    The photographic archives consist essentially of the collections of the Sipho agency which distributed a large element of the Belgian as well as the international press photographs from 1930 until 1944. In 1946, the Sipho responsibles were brought to trial and its collections were confiscated. In 1970 they were transferred to the Centre. This important collection (some 300,000 photographs) consists of a Belgian and an international section.
