    Consists of photographs of Buchenwald at liberation, a photograph of Ohrdruf at liberation, and a photograph of a German soldier standing among casualties on the Eastern Front. The collection is attributed to Anton Kozlowski (1924-2002) who served in the European Theater after enlisting with the U.S. Army in 1943.

  10. Antonia Jacoby collection

    This collection contains a photocopy and transcripts of correspondence from Antonia Jacoby sent to her family in 1933 and in 1940, a few days after she escaped from Germany and emigrated to Japan. The complex financial problems she describes are a reflection of the new laws imposed on Jews in Germany at the time. The letter from Japan was written to Marie Behrendt, wife of Antonia's cousin Fritz Behrendt, who used to live in Breslau before emigrating to Argentina.

  14. Antonina and Jonas Paulavičius photographs

    The collection consists of three photographs of Antonina and Jonas Paulavičius and their family of Panemune, Lithuania. The Paulavičius family rescued 16 people during the Holocaust, including 12 Jews primarily from the Kovno Ghetto. There is also a post-war photograph of Antonina with 6 of the Jews the family helped rescue: Miriam Krakinowski, Yohanan Fein, Musia Gershenman, Tanya Ipp, David Rubin, and Aaron Neimark.

    Consists of one manuscript, 80 pages (with additional copies and articles), written by Antonius (Tony) VanAchthoven as a series of letters to his grandson, Daniel; as well as letters to a scholar named Kellin. In the letters, Mr. VanAchthoven, who is Catholic, describes his memories of growing up during the occupation of the Netherlands, of witnessing antisemitism, and of his immigration to the United States in 1948. Includes copies of photographs, articles, and related documents.
