  1. Kluizen - Coffres-forts. Collection

    This collection consists of the bank vaults which were not claimed by their original owners post-war. The owners were both Jewish and non-Jewish war victims or refugees who did not return to Belgium. The vaults do not contain any valuables, but documents including securities and personal documents, family photos, and objects such as cutlery, photo cameras and tableware. This collection is not accessible to third parties. Relatives who might be entitled to the content of one of the vaults are requested to contact archives@kazernedossin.eu

  2. In memoriam - Kurt Lowenstein. Collection

    The item in this collection is an In Memoriam dedicated to the memory of dr. Kurt Lowenstein (1885-1939), a German socialist politician and a founder of the Socialist Youth of Germany - Red Falcons (Rote Falke).

  3. Propagandistic publications and war-time newspapers. Collection

    This collection consists of one letter and ten publications, including Belgian and international war-time and immediate post-war newspapers (Volk en Staat, Het Algemeen Nieuws, Het Belang van Limburg, La Libre Belgique, Der Mitteldeutsche, The Western Daily Press and Bristol Mirror) as well as propagandistic and/or anti-Semitic booklets (“Terreur tegen paus en Vaticaan”, “Dat had Europa van het Bolsjewisme te verwachten”, “De Beestmensch” and “Vleugels der Overwinning”).

  4. Moszkowicz-Herszman family. Collection

    This collection contains four photos, which portray the following persons: Fajga Moszkowicz, Salomon Herszman, Helene Herszman, Siegfried Herszman and Henriette Herszman. There is also the first Polish passport issued to Helene Herszman in 1948.

  5. Geiger-Kohn family. Collection

    This collection contains photocopies of : the marriage certificate of Joseph Geiger and Juliana Kohn, the birth certificate of Juliana Kohn and her daughter Gerda Geiger, the music teacher diploma of Juliana Kohn, the prolongation for Juliana Kohn’s American visa and Polish statements confirming the good conduct of Juliana Kohn and Joseph Geiger.

  6. Scrap book on the Adolf Eichmann trial. Collection

    This scrap book contains hundreds of clippings from presumably French, Belgian and Italian newspapers on the trial of Adolf Eichmann.

  7. Royaume de Belgique - Album photographique de Membres des services de Police allemands et de suspects de Crimes de Guerre. Collection

    This item contains lists and portraits, when available, of German staff members and Belgian collaborators working for the Sicherheitspolizei und Sicherheitsdienst (Sipo-SD) and the Geheime Feldpolizei (GFP) in Brussels. The lists consist of the name and place and/or date of birth of a suspect, and his or her position in the organisation.

  8. Circular regarding the exclusion of Jews from public office in Borgerhout. Collection

    This circular contains information regarding the exclusion of Jews from public office in the municipality of Borgerhout, Antwerp. The content is based on the German anti-Jewish decree of 28 October 1940.

  9. Deed of sale with stipulation of non-Jewish decent. Collection

    Digitised copy of a notarial deed stipulating the sale of a plot of land to the Jolémont family, including a remark that a possible Jewish descent was verified and dismissed.

  10. Kranz-platten (photos on cardboard) of Adolf Hitler and party rallies. Collection

    5 Kranz-platten (photos printed on wood) depicting Adolf Hitler during party conventions and conferences in the company of elite NSDAP-members. Included is also a metal plaque which was attached to the original frames, indicating the name of the company that took/framed the photos.

  11. Report by Service MARC. Collection

    Report drafted by a member of the Belgian espionage network Service MARC and sent to London. The document contains a remark regarding the seven Romanian Jews who complied with the Nazi order for repatriation to Romania.

  12. Koen Pyl. Collection

    This collection contains two small paintings which have been signed by a certain H. Hofbauer. One painting contains a pear, the other one contains cherries. Also in this collection is the wedding book of Petrus Pyl.

  13. Maurice Strauch. Collection

    This diary consists of 18 notebooks, starting on 26 March 1943 and ending on 25 December 1944, and contains elaborate notes by Maurice Strauch alias Strauss or Straus on life in hiding in Brussels.

  14. Testimony of Mathilda "Mami" Pfaff, Manoesj (Sinti). Collection

    Testimony of Manousj (Sinti) woman Mathilda Pfaff, published in magazine "Wereldwijd" in 1988 ; notes provided by her relative Hendrik Bohets (only available at the Kazerne Dossin documentation center).
