Biographical History
Koen Pyl is the grandson of Petrus Pyl. In 1942, Petrus lived at Euterpastraat 17 in Berchem, Antwerp. Presumably, after a raid in either the Euterpastraat or in the Diksmuidelaan nearby, Petrus Pyl looted two small paintings signed by a certain H. Hofbauer from a Jewish family in 1942.
