Biographical History
NKVD verification-filtration points (camps), originally known as NKVD special-purpose camps, were camps for the screening of the Soviet soldiers returned from enemy imprisonment or encirclement. In 1945, they were renamed to verification-filtration camps. In 1944-1946, Chișinău-based verification-filtration point subordinated to the NKVD of the USSR and in 1946-1947 - to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR.
Scope and Content
Orders of the People's Commissar of Internal Affairs of the USSR, circulars and instructions of the main quartermaster of the USSR Armed Forces and quartermaster of the Odessa military district on administrative issues for 1943-1946; documents on the issuance of travel allowance to repatriates sent from the Chișinău VFP to the place of residence for December 1944 and 1945; front-line notes on the presence and movement of the contingent in the Chisinau VFP and its branch for 1945-1946 (on the back of each note there is data on citizens of the USSR who were forcibly taken to Germany and other occupied countries)

Biographical History
Проверочно-фильтрационные лагеря НКВД СССР — специальные учреждения Народного Комиссариата Внутренних Дел СССР для проверки лиц, бывших в немецком плену или на оккупированной территории. Были организованы в декабре 1941 года. До января 1945 года назывались спецлагерями НКВД. В январе 1945 года Отдел спецлагерей НКВД Союза ССР был переименован в Отдел проверочно-фильтрационных лагерей (ОПФЛ) НКВД Союза ССР.
Кишиневский проверочно-фильтрационный пункт подчинялся НКВД СССР в 1944-1946 гг. и Министерству Внутренних Дел СССР (МВД СССР) в 1946-1947 гг.
Scope and Content
Приказы Наркома Внутренних дел СССР, циркуляры и указания главного интенданта Вооруженных сил СССР и Интенданта Одесского военного округа по административным вопросам за 1943-1946 гг.; документы по выдаче путевого довольствия репатриантам, направляемым из Кишиневского ПФП по месту жительства за декабрь 1944 г. и 1945 г.; строевые записки о наличии и движении контингента в Кишиневском ПФП и его филиале за 1945-1946 гг. (на оборотной стороне каждой записки имеются данные на граждан СССР, насильно увезенных в Германию и др. оккупированные страны)
