Scope and Content

Memorialization of [four] female inmates from the Union Factory in the city of Frondenberg Documentation regarding the memorialization of [four] Jewish female inmates who worked at the Union Factory in Auschwitz and played a significant part in the struggle against the Nazis, especially in the transfer of gunpowder from the factory to the Sonderkommando in Birkenau. Four of the women [Roza Robota, Ala Gertner, Regina Safirsztajn and Ester Wajsblum] were caught after the Sonderkommando Revolt in Crematorium 4, and executed in early 1945. In 1985 these inmates were memorialized in the city of Frondenberg, Germany, where the Union Factories are located.

הנצחת אסירות ממפעל Union בעיר Frondenberg תיעוד בנוגע להנצחת אסירות יהודיות שעבדו במפעל Union ב-Auschwitz ואשר לקחו חלק משמעותי במאבק נגד הנאצים, במיוחד בהעברת אבק שריפה מהמפעל לידי הזונדרקומנדו במחנה Birkenau. ארבע מהן נתפסו אחרי מרד הזונדרקומנדו בקרמטוריום 4 והוצאו להורג בתחילת 1945. ב-1985 זכו אסירות אלה להנצחה בעיר Frondenberg בגרמניה, שם נמצאים מפעלי Union.
