This fonds contains acts of the Committee created after the liberation of Italy from Nazi-fascism, on July 25th, 1945. The Mantua Committee had previously worked secretly, since July, 1944. The National Liberation Committee watched over public order, waiting for democratic election. Local committees depended on District Committee, which in turn was subordinated to the Regional one. In the fonds there are also pictures testifying atrocities perpetrated by the Nazis against Italian soldiers, in September 1943.

Permit given by the National Liberation Commitee to Renato Rovighi to reach Castelbelforte (Mantua) on his own, trying to recover his forniture, taken by the nazi, as he is "of Jewish race". Before World War II, he had been the teacher of the elementary Jewish school in Mantua.

In 1943 Elio Finzi, a Jewish engineer, created a society together with the lawyer Marino Caramaschi and Mario Besutti, in which his name did not appear, in order to escape racial persecution. Then, he was forced to escape to Switzerland and the lawyer Marino Caramaschi took advantage of his absence from Italy to obtain non due financial incomes. At the end of the war, Finzi denounces Caramaschi for his behaviour to the Mantua Liberation Committee.
