Biographical History

Née à Vilnius en 1904, Marjam dite Myriam Lounski migra en Belgique en 1929 pour y poursuivre des études universitaires. Pédagogue et enseignante à la Yiddishe Shule, école complémentaire en yiddish de tendance bundiste, elle incarna l’enseignement du yiddish à Bruxelles après-guerre et marqua très profondément ses contemporains.
