    Consists of three photographs either taken by or found by William Sepp's uncle, Matthew Sepp at the liberation of Dachau. Matthew Sepp was in the United States anti-aircraft artillery unit battalion which first entered locations to secure the area. One of these areas was Dachau.

    The Szabo family papers document the Holocaust experiences of the Szabo family of Vienna, Austria, including Viktor Szabo’s imprisonment in Dachau after Kristallnacht, his death in Zasavica in 1941, his daughter Nelly Szabo Ullman’s account of Kristallnacht, and her immigration to the United States in May 1939. Material related to Nelly Szabo Ullman consists of a handwritten account in German of the German-annexation of Austria (Anschluss) and Kristallnacht, written fall 1939, along with an English translation she produced in 1996.     S. J. Green essay discussing why and how Jehovah's Witnesses were persecuted by members of the Nazi Party; the activities and fates of other Christian sects (i.e. Roman Catholics, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists); and how individual Witnesses were able to survive. The essay also contains a summary of an interview Green had with H. Dickmann, a Witness survivor.

    The collection contains photographs and copyprints of Edith Simon Babich, her parents Karl and Selma Simon, and her sister Ilse Simon aboard the MS St. Louis during its voyage to Havana, Cuba, in 1939. Some of the photographs are annotated on the verso. Also included is a personal narrative written by Edith’s husband Reuben Babich describing the Holocaust experiences of the Simon, Frank, and Lazarus families of Cloppenburg, Germany; a Red Cross letter documenting the fates Karl, Selma, and Ilse; and two prewar postcards related to the MS St. Louis.
