In the memoir, Mr. Gliklich describes pre-war life in Nisko, the German invasion of Poland, anti-Jewish legislation, and their escape into Russian territory. While in Russian territory, the family was reunited with Mr. Gliklich's father, whom they had believed to have been killed during the German invasion.   12. German educational film: instructional film on boxing techniques

    This instructional film teaches young men how to box. The film features an adult trainer and several young (adolescent and pre-adolescent) boys practicing boxing techniques. They are in a gym and at times in a boxing ring. Intertitles in Boxen der Jugend 8: Gewhonung an finten Dopplestobe zum kinn und zum korper und umgekehrt. Translation: Practicing the art of the 'fake' or the 'dodge' Doublehook to the chin and the body and reverse hook.

  13. Richard H. Ennis photograph collection

    Contains six photographs from Richard. H. Ennis (donor's father), a member of the 10th Armored Division during the liberation of Landsberg, Germany in 1945. Images depict medics and US Army personnel examining corpses in the front of burnt huts which the inmates were forced into; later burned by German military before retreat from the advancing 7th Army.

    Jan Sehn (1909-1965) was born in Tuszów Maly in former Austria-Hungary on April 22, 1909. He graduated high school in Mielec and became involved in the youth organization Legion Mlodych (Legion of the Youth) of President Józef Pilsudski. He then studied law at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. After graduating in 1933, Sehn obtained a position first as a judicial clerk and later as an assessor at Kraków District Court.   18. Ferencz: German industry, slave labor, compensation

    Audio recording of the German television program "Vernichtung durch Arbeit" that aired November 1984. Program is based on Benjamin Ferencz's authoritative book on slave labor: "Less Than Slaves," Harvard University Press, 1979. The book deals with the Nazi program of Vernichtung durch Arbeit [destruction through work] in which millions were coerced into labor by German industrialists for the Nazi war machine. The book also explains the quest of survivors to get compensation from the West German government. TAPE 2, 2 SIDES.

    Consists of documents and photographs pertaining to experiences of the Biel family during the Holocaust. The documents include one Swiss Schutzpass issued to Dezso Biel, October 23, 1944, Budapest and one refugee document valid for 14 days for Dezso Biel. Twenty-eight pre-war, wartime, and post-war photographs of the family are included; some which are described by the donor, Agnes Biel Lugosi, who was born in 1938.
