    The Marshall W. Minard photographs consist of 14 photographic prints and postcards documenting the Buchenwald concentration camp immediately following liberation and the Dachau death train. The Buchenwald photographs are captioned “Buchenwald Stalag” on the back. The images depict survivors, victims, skin with tattoos, exterior and interior of buildings, an effigy of Hitler, and American soldiers. The Dachau photographs depict victims inside and next to the open railcars of the Dachau death train.

The photographs depict Kutun, his fellow soldiers, displaced persons, and local people in Oberammergau, Kitzingen, and Bad Kissingen. Many of the photographs were taken at a displaced persons camp in Garmisch.

    Documents, photographs, papers, correspondence documenting the experiences of Jacob and Leah Lazega, and their children Fanny (donor), Eva, and Max before, during, and after the Holocaust. The Lazega family fled their home in Brussels during the German invasion of Belgium and went to Paris temporarily. When the Germans arrived in Paris, the family fled first to Vannes and then south to Marseilles. Jacob was taken to Camp des Milles, where the family could occasionally visit and bring him food and supplies. Leah was able to help her husband escape from the camp, and he then went into hiding....

    Consists of one article, entitled "A Hidden Child's Story" by Sam Lauber, which originally appeared in the Dayton (OH) Jewish Observer in May 2005. In the article, which includes copies of photographs, Mr. Lauber describes the Nazi occupation of Antwerp, where he was born in 1942. Mr. Lauber's parents arranged for him to go into hiding with the Detry family in La Louviere, Belgium, where he remained for a year before reuniting with his family.     Consists of two photographs taken upon the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp. One depicts a building in Buchenwald with a sign asking war correspondents to go to the press room for assistance and one depicts Allied liberators walking towards the entrance of Buchenwald, on which is hung a banner regarding the triumph of anti-fascism. The photographs are from the collection of Charles (Jeff) Scherz, who liberated the camp with Patton's Third Army.
