She describes the conquest of the city by the Germans and the beginning of atrocities committed against Jews in her town and the surrounding area. These include arbitrary shootings targeted at children and the elderly, and burning of Jews in synagogues. She and her two children left to Goworowo, where all jews were ordered into the synagogue with the market on fire, and men were taken out and shot.     The file contains scans of several circular letters, sent to the leaders of immigrants labor camps in Switzerland. Beside a compulsory english course for the inmates or holiday entitlements, the correspondence deals with the camps supply of food, toiletries or clothings as well as instructions for the handeling of several insurances and further bureaucracy. The instructions were given out by the Central Labor Camp Administration in Zurich and were mostly signed by the head of the Central Administration Otto Zaugg.

    The file is an unpublished account by Werner Bukofzer about his illegal immigration to Palestine from Germany via the Danube and then on board of the "Hilda" to Haifa. He describes the hardships on board of the ship during an especially harsh winter 39/40, the uncertainty, and the dangers through onboard fire, storms and imminent shipwrecking.     The file contains scans of several instructions given to the leaders of immigrants labor camps in Switzerland. The instructions mostly relate to the rules of daily life and the working conditions for the camps staff and leaders. Further instructions relate to the bureaucracy which was necessary to provide smooth processes in the camps. The orders were given out by the Central Labor Camp Administration in Zurich(Zentralleitung der Arbeitslager, Zürich) and were mostly signed by the head of the Central Administration Otto Zaugg.

    The file deals with the outpouring of political and economic refugees from Germany from 1933 onwards as a result of the takeover of the NSDAP party under Adolf Hitler. Therefore an interministerial commission had been convened in the Belgian capital, Brussels, in order to address the refugee crisis and deal with the influx of refugees from Germany. The file contains the protocols of those sessions, including delegates named, topics discussed as well as assessments made of the overall political and economic situation in Germany after the Nazi government had come to power in early 1933.

He describes the difficulties on the road to Warsaw, including German bombings and machine-gun fire behind Pruszkow and anti-Semitic incidents from the Polish army.
