    The file contains a report of January 1937 about the position of Jews in Germany. The report has appeared in English, German and French and was published by the Jewish Central information Office, which published every month a new report always regarding the situation of Jews in Germany or other European countries. In 1928 Alfred Wiener was instrumental in creating the Büro Wilhelmstrasse of the CV, which documented Nazi activities and issued anti-Nazi materials until 1933 when Hitler came to power.     The publication which is based on the novel “The good soldier Svejk” by Jaroslav Hasek ironically criticizes the German occupation of the protectorate Bohemia and Moravia. Svejk is arrested in a pub while discussing the botched attempt on Hitler’s life in Munich with the innkeeper. He is transferred to Petschek castle and interrogated by the Gestapo. He behaves in typical "Svejk" manner to expose the lunacy of his surroundings.

    A detailed personal account of life under the Nazis since 1934 (12 pages) and in the ghetto during the final months of World War II and of liberation by Eva Noack-Mosse, a member of the well-known Berlin Mosse family. Before her deportation to Theresienstadt concentration camp in February of 1945, she moved together with her non-Jewish husband from Berlin to a small Bavarian village in 1941.
