The report has appeared in English, German and French and was published by the Jewish Central information Office, which published every month a new report always regarding the situation of Jews in Germany or other European countries.     The pamphlet provides facts and conclusions about the situation in Germany with a special focus on its finances. Since 1933 the rules and laws for an open budget are suspended. Germany has become a police state where the stronger (Gestapo and the Party) rule. A sermon by Pastor Niemöller from June 27th, 1937 is included. The emigrants are defended against the vile accusations of Goebbels and his propaganda machine.     The publication which is based on the novel “The good soldier Svejk” by Jaroslav Hasek ironically criticizes the German occupation of the protectorate Bohemia and Moravia. Svejk is arrested in a pub while discussing the botched attempt on Hitler’s life in Munich with the innkeeper. He is transferred to Petschek castle and interrogated by the Gestapo. He behaves in typical "Svejk" manner to expose the lunacy of his surroundings.

In 1938 Josef Hocke got to know Ulrich Hlavin, a former major of the Czech-Slovak military staff, through mutual friends. They met again in 1939 and 1941 – that's when Ulrich Hlavin told the defendant that he was being searched for. In early 1942 Josef Hocke allowed Ulrich Hlavin to hide in his warehouse twice. On 31 December 1943 two Jewish prisoners (Weisl and Liebl) were able to break out of the Gestapo prison in Prague.     On the 5th of September 1938 the "Altfreundeverband" and the "Deutsche christliche Studentenvereinigung" was unraveled by the Gestapo. In this file publications of the DCSB in the years of 1938 and 1939 are seen. Dr. Reinold von Thabben discribes how the DCSV was foundet in 1890, how the association was working and how the faith and the guidance of God helped their members and inspired their work.     The file contains the verdict of Wenzel (born on 11 February 1897 in Prague) and Karoline Limbursky (born on 27 July 1907 in Prague). The couple's crime had been to give shelter to a member of the Czech army who was wanted by the "Gestapo". Furthermore, Karoline Limbursky supported the man by providing him with food. The couple was was found guilty and sentenced to death in 1944.
