  1. Arnold Kronfeld papers

    The papers consist of correspondence, visa applications, affidavits and other materials that belonged to Herbert E. Kronfeld [donor's father] and that document his efforts to assist his maternal aunt, Bertha Dyckhoff, and her daughter, Hildegard Dyckoff, in immigrating from Berlin, Germany, to the United States. Included in the collection is correspondence from Judges Mitchell May and Algeron I. Nova, Senator Robert F. Wagner, Senator James M. Mead, and United States Secretary of State Cordell Hull.

  2. Central Historical Commission : Collection about children (M 1.PC)

    Contains approximately 327 questionnaires. This collections includes materials gathered by the CHC (The Central Historical Commission of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews in the U.S. Zone, Munich) by means of special questionnaires to gather information about the past of the few children among the Holocaust survivors in the DP camps. The children were asked about their lives during the Nazi rule and the fate of their families. Some questionnaires have photos of the children.

  4. Brandes family correspondence

    Correspondence from Keila and Anna (Hanna) Brandes in Vienna to their son and brother Richard Brandes (donor's grandfather), who following his emigration from Austria and the outbreak of World War II, was classified by the British government as an "enemy alien" and interned in a camp in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. File contains a letter of reference from Richard Brandes' employer in Vienna in 1934, and six letters sent to him by his mother and sister in Vienna, between December 1939 and May 1941.   5. Selected records from the Departmental Archives of the Aube

    This collection contains documents from the Special Police Commissariat. It includes lists of refugees by nationality, materials on internment facilities, and documents of the Bureau of Liaison with the German authorities and of the Renseignements généraux (the police agency watching foreigners). Also included are documents on the persecution of Jews in the communes of Isle-Aumont and Ramerupt, and materials of the post-liberation Historical Commission on the Second World .

    The collection consists of eight photographs of Chris and Miles Lerman, their friends, and their family, during their time in the Berlin Schlachtensee displaced persons camp in Germany after liberation and their voyage to the United States on board the "Marine Perch." Also included in the collection are three photographs of the Lermans' friends in Bergen-Belsen.
