    The Debbie Borenstein collection consists of correspondence; the title page of a December 1949 issue of "Frankfurter Rundschau; memorial text/pamphlet for the community of Czestochowa, Poland from 1942-1948 which was published under EUCOM Civil Affairs Division (Authorization no. UNDP 240).

  2. Herman Scheveschewsky letter

    Handwritten letter, in German, dated February 19, 1980, from Mr. and Mrs. Herman Scheveschewsky to Theresa and Harry Golluber, thanking Mr. Golluber for saving Mr. Scheveschewsky's during the war. According to Mrs. Golluber, who gave the letter to the donor, Barbara Rubin Byer, Herman Scheveschewsky was a member of the underground on the run from the Nazis when he was given shelter by the Gollubers; after the war, he was able to locate them and repay the money he had borrowed from them.

  10. The girls from Salzwegel: 40 lager girls, by Itka Najman Slodowski

    Consists of a photocopied manuscript containing the memoirs of 40 women survivors of Salzwedel concentration camp. Each memoir includes a photocopied photograph of the survivor and a questionnaire asking her name, date of birth, names of her parents and siblings, her ghetto- and camp-internment dates, names and addresses of other Salzwedel survivors with whom she is in contact, and names of women who did not survive.
