To 05:03:08 05:03:09 Joseph Goebbels, Minister of Popular Enlightenment and Propaganda, speaks from podium at Lustgarten to assembled crowd, announcing boycott of Jewish businesses. Pan of masses as Goebbels speaks with some passion, using his hands. Crowd responds "Heil" to him, repeatedly. 05:03:58 Berlin, April 1, 1933: SA putting up antisemitic signs. Street scene of SA soldiers with armbands on a truck, and a crowd of German civilians yelling anti-Jewish chants. Soldier paints Jewish star on shop window. Crowds, street action, cars, bikes; many young boys in crowd. No audience shots, but they cheer "Heil." 05:05:54 Dusseldorf, November 1938: Funeral procession for Ernst vom Rath (German diplomat assassinated by Grynspan, whose death was used to justify Kristallnacht on November 9, 1938).
