    The collection contains interviews with survivors conducted by Dr. Júlia Vajda as part of the “Totalitarianism and Holocaust Project” of the University of Debrecen, Hungary, 2004-2007, and documentation regarding these interviews.   2. The Gideon Hausner Collection: The prosecutor in the Eichmann Trial, 1960-1965

    In the Record Group there is a collection submitted to Yad Vashem by Gideon Hausner, the prosecutor in the Eichmann Trial. The Record Group includes protocols from the Eichmann Trial, files of documentation gathered by the prosecution in preparation for and during the trial, correspondence between the prosecution and various bodies, as well as newspaper clippings regarding the trial. The Record Group also includes a detailed psychological opinion regarding Eichmann.

  3. Yugoslavia Collection: Documentation regarding the Jews of Yugoslavia, mainly during the Holocaust period

    In the Record Group there is documentation regarding the Jews of the former Yugoslavia (according to the April 1941 boundaries) during the 20th century, and concerning various topics from the Holocaust period. Some of the documentation was photocopied from material in various archives in Yugoslavia and in other countries, including Israel, and some of the documentation was submitted to Yad Vashem by private individuals.   4. Documentation collected in preparation for the Eichmann Trial, 1933-1962

    The Office 06 investigators gathered the material from Nuremberg Trials documentation, documents from the German Foreign Ministry and other sources. Due to this fact, the collection also contains documents known from other sources. There are also original documents, such as opinions collected in anticipation of the trial regarding Eichmann's activities and protocols of testimonies recorded by the 06 investigators.     The collection contains documentation regarding the history of the Holocaust in the Soviet Union, and serves as a source of information concerning the extermination of the Jews in the towns and villages throughout the Soviet Union that had been under Nazi occupation.   11. The Collection of Nathan Schwalb, the representative of the World Center of the Hechalutz movement in Geneva, Switzerland during World War II

    Schwalb spent World War II in Geneva as the representative of the World Hechalutz movement, serving as contact person and a financial welfare source for the Jews. He corresponded with hundreds of people in the occupied countries and was active in many areas including the sending of parcels via the Red Cross, mainly to Poland, and transferring funds via messengers whom he drafted for this purpose.     This Collection contains the correspondence of the Central Historical Commission of the Central Committee of Liberated Jews (CHC) with its various branches in the DP camps, Jewish leaders and institutions in different countries, and the German municipal authorities. The correspondence deals mainly with gathering documentation regarding the Holocaust, cultural activity in the DP camps and the editorial work of the CHC.

  14. Testimonies of Holocaust Survivors collected by the Central Jewish Historical Commission in Poland, 1944-1947

    The collection consists of approximately 7,200 testimonies collected by the Centralna Żydowska Komisja Historyczna (Central Jewish Historical Committee) in Poland during its active years, 1944-1947. After the establishment of the ZIH (Jewish Historical Institute) the documentation was transferred to the ZIH Archives, and catalogued as Records Group 301.
