  1. Humboldt University Archives records

    Contains documents, mostly from the 1930s, deriving from various bodies and faculties of Humboldt University, concerning the status of Jewish professors and students. Includes financial and administrative files pertaining to antisemitic activities at the Humboldt University.

  4. Porunca Vremii

    Porunca Vremii was one of the leading Iron Guard newspapers in Romania. This number was published seventeen days after the Iron Guard coup led by Gen. Ion Antonescu. The article, "Un asn dela Pedepsirea lui Armand Calinescu," (One Year after the Punishment of Armand Calinescu), concerns the former Minister of the Interior and Prime Minister under King Carol of Romania, Armand Calinescu, who was executed by the Iron Guard as revenge for the reprisals (especially the extrajudicial execution of C.Z. Codreanu, the leader of the Iron Guard) against the Iron Guard.

    The Weiss family papers include biographical material, correspondence, immigration material, and school and professional material relating to Zygfryd, Stefania, and Ruth Weiss’ life in Poland before fleeing to the Soviet Union in 1939, imprisonment in Yakutsk, and immigration to the United Stated in 1947.     Contains a haggadah issued for the Jews of Europe by Agudath Israel Youth Council of America.

  8. Leo Parenti collection

    The Leo Parenti collection consists of a black and white photograph of female corpses lying on the ground near the Helmbrechts concentration camp. Helmsbrechts is a sub-camp of Flossenbürg concentration camp. The photograph was taken by a member of the 26th Infantry (Yankee) Division, United States Army immediately after the discovery of the mass grave in 1944. Leo Parenti was present at the discovery of the mass grave and the unidentified photographer gave Parenti the photograph.     Collection consisting of nine pre war photographs of Polly Bergtraun [donor] and her family, seven photographs of the donor and her rescuers, and one false identity card for the donor.

  17. Jakub Gutenbaum collection

    Consists of nine photographs depicting the donor and his family before the war in Warsaw and Rytro, Poland; a registration certification, issued in Prague, Czechoslovakia on 12 June 1945, by the Czechoslovak Repatriation Office, stating that the bearer, Jakub Gutenbaum, born 7 Aug.1929 is returning to Warsaw, Poland, traveling from the Buchenwald Concentration camp; and a certificate, issued by a hospital in Prague, Czechoslovakia, on 6 June 1945, stating that Jakub Gutenbaum was free of infectious disease and lice.
