  1. Mikołaj Iwanow Papers

    Writings, correspondence, printed matter, photocopies of reports and government documents, and computer disks, relating to Poles in the Soviet Union prior to World War II, and to Jewish and Polish resistance activities in Belarus and Poland during World War II.

  2. Moisei Aaronovich Krol' Writings

    Relates to revolutionary movements in Russia, especially the Partiia Sotsialistov-Revoliutsionerov, the Russian Revolution and Civil War in Siberia, Russian emigre life in China and France, and Jewish and other ethnic groups in Russia. Includes the unpublished second volume of the memoirs of M. A. Krol', Stranitsy Moei Zhizni (first volume published, New York, 1944).

  3. Mueller and Graeff Photographic Poster Collection

    Photographs of posters, relating primarily to Germany during World Wars I and II, German political events in the interwar period, and the Spanish Civil War. Includes posters from the Soviet Union, France, and a number of other countries.

  4. New York Department of Investigation report

    Relates to causes of, and recommends measures to prevent, antisemitic vandalism and violence in New York City. The memorandum of l69 pages was submitted by the Commission of Investigation to Mayor F. H. LaGuardia on January 5, l944 and was based on case reports of 69 antisemitic disturbances from September l942 to March l943. A nearly equal number of incidents took place from March l943 to January l944. The report concluded that 3l incidents were of an antisemitic nature.

  7. Ona Simaite Papers

    Correspondence, notes, memorabilia, and photographs, relating to underground aid to the Jewish ghetto inhabitants of Vilnius, Lithuania, during the German occupation, 1941-1944. Most of the correspondence is in Lithuanian and dates from the l956-l970 period. Of greatest use is a 2l page handwritten account (in Lithuanian) on conditions in the ghetto for the l941-44 period.

    Clippings (primarily from American sources), correspondence, administrative files, press reviews and summaries, bulletins, printed matter, sound recordings, and photographs, relating to World War II, the German and Soviet occupations of Poland, the persecution of Jews in Poland, and the spread of communism in Eastern Europe. This vast clipping collection contains, spread through the majority of boxes, clippings of Forward and Morning Freiheit (New York), in Yiddish, dealing with the persecution of Jews in Europe for the years 1940-1945.

  14. Poster Collection

    Posters from many countries, relating to a broad range of topics in twentieth-century history. A large proportion of the posters are propagandistic in nature. American, British, French, German and Russian posters are particularly numerous. Among the major events covered are World Wars I and II, the Russian Revolution, and national socialism in Germany. Includes anti-Semitic posters and posters relating to Jewish communities from a number of countries.

  15. Protocols of the Wise Men of Zion

    This folder contains a handwritten manuscript in Russian of the "Protocols of the Wise Men of Zion" by S. Nilus. The material was probably acquired throught the U.S. Consulate in Viborg, Finland, in 1919-1920.

    Depositions, correspondence, and printed matter, relating primarily to political conditions in France under the government of Marshal Philippe Petain and Premier Pierre Laval, 1940-1944. Translations of a portion of the documents are published in France during the German Occupation, 1940-1944 (Stanford, 1958). Comte Rene de Chambrun is Pierre Laval's son-in-law and has attempted together with his wife to clear Laval's name. Box 2, folder l, contains some anti-semitic leaflets issued by the "Deutschvoelkischer Schutz and Trutzbund" in 1919. Box 3, folder 3, contains anti-Jewish posters issued in 1919.
