    The personal fonds of a famous Jewish writer who was able to escape in the first days of the Second World War to the East of the Soviet Union. There he joined to the Lithuanian 16th division of the Red Army and survived the Holocaust.     The personal fonds of a famous Jewish collector of ex libris bookplates who was able in the first days of the Second World War to escape to the East of the Soviet Union. After the war he returned to Vilnius. His collection was close related not only to Jewish topics but also to Lithuanian history, culture, and famous people. The files consist of personal documentation, correspondence, photos.

    Copies concerning the mass killings of Jews and collaboration with Nazis in 89 towns of Lithuania (some copies concerning crimes in Latvia (Ryga), Byelorussia, Ukraine). There is also data on 140 persons who were involved in mass killings of Jews.

The most important document in this fonds is the anti-Jewish proclamation of the Front of Lithuanian Activists (LAF; col. Kazys Škirpa was a leader of this Front). The LAF organized the June Uprising (June 23-26, 1941) with the aim of re-establishing Lithuanian independence with the help of Nazis.
