    This fonds contains 5 files pertaining to Belgium. It includes notably incoming letters from the newspaper Hatikwah (file A127/218; year 1926), letters concerning his trip to i.a. Brussels (A127/824; 1931), letters from the time of Gruenbaums visit to Belgium (A127/622; 1926) and, lastly, card indexes of Yizhak Gruenbaum pertaining to rescue attempts and the situation of the Jews in various countries, including Belgium – see A127/1865 and A127/1873 (1939-1940).

  3. Personal documentation on Jewish life in Belgium during the Holocaust.

    This fonds contains various documents (in many cases, copies) pertaining to the fate of the Jews in Belgium during the Second World War – including copies of the newspaper Le Flambeau, a list of Jewish children hidden by the Comité de Défense des Juifs, lists of resistance fighters, documents concerning war criminals, … and many other copies documents from archives kept by various organisations and institutions in Belgium.

  4. Testimonies of Holocaust Survivors collected by the Central Jewish Historical Commission in Poland, 1944-1947

    The collection consists of approximately 7,200 testimonies collected by the Centralna Żydowska Komisja Historyczna (Central Jewish Historical Committee) in Poland during its active years, 1944-1947. After the establishment of the ZIH (Jewish Historical Institute) the documentation was transferred to the ZIH Archives, and catalogued as Records Group 301. In the collection there is a large variety of testimonies given by Holocaust survivors regarding their lives in the ghettos, labor camps and concentration camps, as well as testimonies from survivors who fought in partisan units and survivor...

    The Adolf Abraham Berman collection contains underground press and publications and official press printed after the failure of the Polish uprising; official and forged personal documents; overviews, reports, correspondences, radio broadcasts transcripts, operation and work plans, orders, order of battle and casualty lists; diaries, memoirs, testimonies, speeches, essays and manifestos; aid requests and financial support confirmations and receipts.     The Record Group contains documentation gathered from state, regional and local archives in Germany. In the documentation there is much information regarding the persecution of the Jews on the local level, including deportations, as well as information regarding life in the Jewish communities, Jewish property and sometimes, lists of local Jews.

    In the Record Group there is documentation from national, district and local archives in Austria. There is much information in the Record Group regarding the persecution of the Jews by the federal and local authorities and activities of institutions that persecuted the Jews. In this Record Group there is also information regarding Jewish Community life, Jewish property and various lists of Jews, such as lists of Jews (and Mischlinge or those married to Jewish women) who were dismissed from government service or lists of local Jews.

  19. Documentation from the Archive of the Main Commission for Investigation of Crimes against the Polish People, the Institute of National Remembrance in Poland

    The Commission gathered much documentation from various sources: documentation from the offices of the German authorities that left Poland with the withdrawal of the Wehrmacht, as well as loot and documentation that came into the hands of the Allied forces. Additionally, the Commission itself gathered much documentation during its visits to persecution sites in Poland, and it received documentation from various bodies, for instance completed questionnaires regarding the persecution of the Jews.
