    1. Harry J. Mayer collection

    The papers consist of booklets, documents, letters, photographs, and postcards relating to the Mayer family including correspondence sent from Camp de Gurs and Camp de Noé in France, images of the family from the pre-war period and from Camp de Gurs, and materials relating to Harry Mayer's membership in the Jewish scouts and his experiences in Switzerland.

  5. Eva Metzger Brown collection

    The Eva Metzger Brown collection contains three primary records. The first two are affidavits for her parents, Ernst and Doris Metzger. These affidavits were required for the Metzger family to immigrate into the United States. Also included in the collection are two copies of Eva’s memoir, titled “Healing from the Traumas of the Holocaust and the Years Thereafter.” They recount the early years of Eva’s life, as well as her parent’s background. The memoir also details Eva’s experiences growing up in the United States as a young child.

  6. Selected records from the Departmental Archives of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques

    Correspondence, reports, circulars, alphabetical registration files of internees, transfer lists and medical records of internees, alphabetical lists of Jews under house arrest, related to internment camps in France, including Gurs, Saint-Cyprien and Polo-Beyris in Bayonne. Also contains records relating to financial aid of Union Générale des Israélites de France (UGIF), the Red Cross, the Quakers, and Aide aux Réfugés (section d'Oloron); art activities of internees; resistance correspondence; records on crime (1941-1945); prostitution (1944-1945); and some photographs of crime victims...

  7. Irene Engelman correspondence

    The Irene Engelman correspondence includes letters to Engelman and her husband in New York from her parents, sister and brother-in-law, and grandfather documenting her family members' lives in the Łódź and Warsaw Ghettos and their emigration efforts. Additional letters from a family friend describe her grandfather's death, her parents' transport to Auschwitz, and her sister and brother-in-law's unknown fates.

  8. Charlotte Sonnenberg papers

    The collection documents the Holocaust-era experiences of Charlotte Alexander (later Charlotte Sonnenberg) and her husband Herbert Alexander, and consists of a postcard written by Herbert to Charlotte during his imprisonment in the Buchenwald concentration camp following Kristallnacht, identification cards of Charlotte’s from Leipzig, Germany and Shanghai, China, and a photograph of Herbert’ tombstone in Shanghai.

  9. Bulgarian Legation in Bucharest (Fond 327)

    Contains reports and press clippings from the Romanian press regarding underground communist activities in Dobruja and Bessarabia; correspondence between the Bulgarian and Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding individual persons of Jewish origin and about the sinking of the "Struma" (Sṭrumah); correspondence regarding passport renewals for Jewish volunteers in the Civil War in Spain; and correspondence regarding visas and transit lists for people of non-Jewish origin. Also includes a registry of incoming documents and passports issued.

  12. Louise Wegweiser Kruk papers

    The collection primarily consists of post-war photographs documenting the experiences of Louise Wegweiser Kruk, originally of Tłuste, Poland, in the Föhrenwald, Rivoli, and Turin displaced persons camps. Also included is the marriage certificate for Louise and Martin Wegweiser, whom she married in Turin in 1947; and an O.R.T. diploma for Louise received in 1949.

  13. Abraham Getman photographs

    A collection of 83 photographs relating to the experiences of Abraham (Avram) Getman and his family during the period immediately following the Holocaust. The collection includes images of refugee camps in St. Marein and Admont in Austria and images of the donor's emigration from Austria to Israel in 1948.

  14. Lisa Fittko papers

    The papers consist of three maps of Cerbère, France, and the Mediterranean coast and one envelope addressed to Lisa Fittko. The maps are as follows: (1) is a map of Port Vendres, printed on paper with inscriptions in ink, circa 1943. 27 3/4" x 29."   15. Eva Goldberg autograph album

    The autograph album belonged to Eva Goldberg Judd and contains autographs, signatures, photographs, and drawings. Inscriptions from friends and family include Anne Frank and Susanne "Sanne" Ledermann. The contents of the autograph book were collected by Eva Goldberg prior to her emigration from Germany to the United States via the Netherlands and Great Britain. According to the Anne Frank House, Otto Frank wrote the caption "July 1936" underneath the photo of Anne Frank, Eva Goldberg, and Susanne Ledermann.   16. Hermann Zutraun papers

    The collection documents the wartime experiences of Hermann Zutraum and his family, who survived the Holocaust in Ankara, Turkey. Included is a Red Cross inquiry from Hilde Strassburger to Martha Pick, Hermann’s wife Alice Murzynski’s aunt; a postcard sent to Martin Gabrielski in Berlin, Germany, from Hermann Zutraun in Ankara; and an envelope sent to Hermann’s aunt Else Zutraun in Berlin from Ankara.

  17. Piera and Meyer Solender papers

    The Piera and Meyer Solender papers consist of two identification cards for Meyer Solender (a Jewish Community of Milan identification card and a reproduction of a Provisional identification card for civilian internee of Mauthausen) and a brief autobiographical testimony describing Piera Solender’s life.
