    The collection consists of documents related to emigration of Maks (Max) and Zofija Sztejn and their children Jakob and Bianca (later Bianca Lloyd), originally of Białystok, Poland, from Kaunas, Lithuania in 1940. Included are a safe conduct pass issued by Japanese diplomat Chiune (Sempo) Sugihara, a certificate in lieu of passport, and an Argentinian tourist visa.

    The collection consists of 11 photographs taken at Zeilsheim displaced persons camp near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Three of the photographs depict a Zeilsheim demonstration for the independence of Israel, and one photograph depicts the police department at Zeilsheim.

  9. Solomon Manischewitz photograph collection

    The collection consists of photographs taken in Zeilsheim displaced persons camp, near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Most of the photographs depict the students and staff of the Henrieta Szold Hebrew School in Zeilsheim where Solomon Manischewitz taught and the Zeilsheim High School. The collection also includes images of festivities held at Zeilsheim on May 15, 1948, when Israel was proclaimed an independent state.

  10. Photograph album

    The photograph album contains images from the Priory children's home in Selkirk, Scotland, for refugee children that arrived on a Kindertransport in 1939. Many of the photographs show Gunther Abrahamson, who lived in the home, and Netta Pringle, assistant matron in the Priory home, who took the majority of the pictures and assembled the album. In 1996 Netta gave the album to Gunther and he added some captions and photographs of his own. The album also includes newspaper clippings referring to sale of the Priory in 1991.

    The papers consist of a doctor's certificate issued in Berchtesgaden, Germany, attesting that Josef Greenspun in 30% disabled as a result of being shot under the arm and a receipt issued in 1949 in Boston, Mass., to Hanka Garfinkel [donor] who arrived on the "US General W. Haan."

  14. Margaret Marflow papers

    The papers consist of a poem and envelope sent to Margaret Weiss from Ruth Rosenbaum, who went from Germany to England on a Kindertransport on January 19, 1939, dated 1945. Also included is a newspaper clipping that mentions Margaret Weiss, S.R.N., as a recipient of a Distinction Certificate after successfully completing her final examination.

    The Henry Maschler papers consist of Henry Maschler’s identification documents. The documents include a German stateless passport issued in Berlin, Germany on November 1, 1938; an identification certificate issued in London, England on October 23, 1939; and an identification card issued in London, England on June 1, 1940.

    The papers consist of one certificate of registration for the Perse School for girls in Cambridge and one ration book issued to Greta Lowenstein.

  17. Anna Meyer collection

    The collection consists of one photograph of a group protrait of German Jewish children who left Germany on a Kindertransport to Belgium, and one room card from "Hotel Albert" given to the Anna Meyer after her arrival in Belgium on "Kindertransport."

  18. Betty Mae Pasternak papers

    The collection consists of photographs documenting the US Army Corps of Engineers' path in Germany from April to May 1945, including images of victims in Dachau concentration camp. The collection also includes two postcards, one pamphlet entitled "The Story of The Corps of Engineers," and one envelope addressed to Miss Betty Shenk in Pennsylvania, dated June 4, 1945.

  19. Janina Prot papers

    The papers consist of 68 photographs relating to Janina Prot's family before, during, and after World War II and 6 photographs relating to Janina's maternal aunt, Jadwiga Deiches Beres, and her son, Krzysztof Beres. The collection also includes a Kennkarte, an Ausweis, a certificate, an Ausweis that belonged to Janina's cousin, a document cover and a praying card.

St. Louis, family members’ efforts to help them immigrate to the United States, and efforts to locate Josefine Siperstein after her death at Auschwitz. Correspondence includes letters to Herbert Siperstein from his mother aboard the S.S.
