  4. War Cabinet and Cabinet: the situation in Palestine

    Contains selected files from British Public Records Office fond CAB 27 and CAB 95. The collection consists of records and correspondence of the War Cabinet regarding Arab-Jewish unrest in Palestine rising out of the influx of new Jewish immigrants, and correspondence related to Jewish agency requests for increases in immigration limits. Also contains policy-oriented documents related to the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine.

  5. Smoliarka and Bronna-Gura forest photograph collection

    The collection consists of three photographs take in forests near Bereza Kartuska, Poland (Biaroza, Belarus). The photographs depict the Smoliarka forest, located 7-8 kilometers from Bereza Kartuska, that was the site of an execution of 1800-2000 Jews in 15-16 October 1942, and a house and trees near Bronna Góra, where at least 50,000 Jews were murdered in 1942.

    Contains letters from Edith Kaufler who escaped from a concentration camp and settled in Prague, Czechoslovakia.

  15. Theater program (Berlin)

    Consists of a program for the European premiere of the play "Ghetto" by Joshua Sobol, as performed at the Theater der Freien Volksbuehne in West Berlin, 1984. Oversize format, and in addition to photographs of the production and information on the cast, it contains historic photographs, maps and copies of documents related to the story of this play, which appears to have been set in the Vilnius ghetto.

  16. Rysia Bialostocka collection

    Collection consisting of four photographs of class portraits for school, one photograph of group of girls and a boy seated at table, and one photograph of men and women seated at table; all photographs have text written in ink on verso.

  17. Elsa Lustig-Moser letter

    The letter and envelope were sent to Emilie Lustig in New York, N.Y., from Elsa Lustig-Moser in Prague, Czechoslovakia, advising her of the desperate situation for Jews in the Sudetenland and requesting an affidavat of support for immigration to the United States.

  19. Adriana Indik collection
