Acquisition
Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
Source of acquisition is the Państwowe Muzeum na Majdanku (Majdanek State Museum), Sygn. XXV. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in Dec. 2013.
Scope and Content
The collection contains prisoners' correspondence, including secret letters and postcards, diaries, personal documents, as well as notices and orders from German authorities, dating from the years 1939 -1944; as well as lectures and studies about the prison that were conducted after the war. Altogether the collection includes 923 units and 3339 former prisoners’ surveys.

Arranged in three series: Series 1. Documents (Files: 1 – 110; 62A-62O; 62P-62Ż), [Reel 1-3]; Series 2. Memoirs (Fiels 1-541, [Reel 4-10]; Series 3. Studies (Files 1-16, 17VII, 17 VVII-45, Part 1 and Part 20, Reel 11-14.
