Państwowe Muzeum na Majdanku

Acquisition

Forms part of the Claims Conference International Holocaust Documentation Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This archive consists of documentation whose reproduction and/or acquisition was made possible with funding from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.

Source of acquisition is the Państwowe Muzeum na Majdanku, Sygn. XIII. Documents were donated to the Majdanek Museum in 1972 by Danuta Magierska and Maria Czyżowa, members of the Armia Krajowa, Wojskowa Służba Kobiet (WSK). The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the filmed collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in Dec. 2013.

Scope and Content

Contains orders, ordinances, instructions and reports of the Wojskowa Służba Kobiet (WSK) (Women's Army Service) of the Lublin District. Includes also a diary of Warsaw Uprising and documents of Władysław Oleszkiewicz.
