The postcard was sent by the donor's grandparents in Makow Mazowiecki (Mackheim), Poland, to the donor's parents in Paris, France. Card: created by Pierre Chanover for his mother Helene for Mother’s Day; handwritten messages on cover, interior, and verso with drawings of flowers, labels, and a black and white photo of Pierre adhered inside; dated 1945; in French. Card was made while Pierre was living in a home run by Oeuvres de Secours aux Enfants for the rehabilitation and education of Jewish children.
