Donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2014 by Bruce Mainzer.

Scope and Content

Contains documents, photographs and correspondence regarding the experiences of Rabbi Boril Herschkovics, who immigrated to the United States in the late 1920s ahead of his immediate family. Documents include recommendations of employment for Boril. Also includes correspondence with organizations including the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Society regarding the efforts of his daughter Alice Herst to arrange for the immigration of Edith and Rose Herskovits, then in Hungary, to join the rest of the family in the United States.
