Acquisition

The collection was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2017 by Steven Linhard and Marion Linhard, the son and wife of Alfred Linhard.

The collection consists of a cup and saucer, correspondence, documents, and photographs relating to the experience of Alfred Linhard and his family in Vienna, Austria, before and during the Anschluss, and in England and the United States before, during, and after World War II.

Coffee cup and saucer from café Dianabad brought with Alfred Linhard, his siblings, Edith, Peter, and Franzi, and their mother, Regina, when they left Vienna, Austria, for the United States in 1939.
