Pessel (Piri) Gans, a Slovakian Jew, survived the Holocaust with the help of gentile friends from 1944 to 1945. She now lives in Israel.

Acquisition

A translated copy of a memoir by Ms. Gans in letter form was sent by Harvey Sarner to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1992. Subsequently, Ms. Gans signed a donor agreement.
