Acquisition
Source of acquisition is the Arhiv Bosne i Hercegovine (Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Fond DRGP. The State Agency for Economic Renewal’s tasks included the confiscation and disposition of Jewish property and businesses. On September 15, 1941, its Sarajevo office was merged into the State Directory for Renewal. After three months this agency was abolished and the State Treasury assumed its duties.The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received the collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in October 2009.
Scope and Content
Contains primarily of records of the Office for Nationalization. It includes lists of Jewish property, correspondence and decrees issued by the State Treasury regarding the confiscation of Jewish property in Osijek and other localities, appeals by local Jews, and inspections of confiscated property and businesses.
