Scope and Content

Consists of of materials collected by the WJC's New York office. The material in this series deals with regions, countries, and communities throughout the world, as well as with organizations and issues of interest to the WJC. Created by WJC staff, Series H has a diverse provenance, with materials from various departments filed together under the subseries headings. Some material in the series pre-dates the establishment of the WJC, but the bulk of the material spans the years 1940-1981. In addition to Monty Jacobs, the names of several persons figure significantly in this series, including: Gerhard Jacoby (Germany), Gerhart M. Riegner (Switzerland), Marc Turkow (WJC South American office, Argentina), Samuel Bronstein (Canada), and Hillel Storch (Sweden).
