Abstract of memoirs, testimonies and diaries, regarding help given to Jews by Poles and, in particular, to Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II Abstract of memoirs, testimonies and diaries, regarding help given to Jews by Poles and, in particular, to Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II, based on materials found in the Archive of the Żydowski Instytut Historyczny - ZIH (Institute of Jewish History) in Warsaw; the abstract is based on the memoirs of Tatiana Bernstein, Irena Sendlerowa, Aurelia Wylezynska, Janina Dunin-Wasowiczowa, Wladyslaw Smolski and Witold Dobrzanski; some of the Poles were later recognized as Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem, including Irena Sendlerowa.
