Gregoire Spolianski, born in 1912, known as Georges; details regarding his activities in the French Jewish underground during World War II Life in Nice including membership in the Service Andre underground movement and La Sixieme (the Sixth) of the EIF (French Jewish Scouts), 1942-1943; Italian retreat; activities evaluating the possibilities of evacuating Jews from the Nice area to Le Chambon sur Lignon; arrest; death in the Excelsior Hotel after torture.
