Max Windmueller, born in Emden, Germany, 1920, known as Cor: details regarding his activities in the French Jewish underground during World War II Underground activities in the Dutch underground from 1940; smuggles members of Maccabi Hatzair into Belgium and France; joins the Jewish underground in southern France; arrest in Paris, summer 1944; deportation to Drancy; transfer to Buchenwald; transfer on a death march to Flossenbuerg; murdered by shooting during the death march, 21 April 1945.
