Herzig יליד 1888 Stryj פולין לפני, במהלך ולאחר מלחמת העולם השנייה וסיפור מעשה הגבורה של אם יהודיה בדרך למחנה המוות Belzec קורות חיים: לימודים ב-Stryj, מייסד ונשיאו הראשון של ארגון "פועלי ציון" במקום; לימודי משפטים ב-Lwow, עבודה כעורך דין ופעילות בארגונים יהודיים בתחום החינוך והרווחה ונציג ה-Joint ב-Frysztak עד שנת 1923; מעבר ל-Jaslo, עבודה כעורך דין בלשכתו שם, פעילות בארגונים ציוניים, בתחום הרווחה, תרבות וחינות בקהילה היהודית; מחודש ינואר 1942 עד סוף המלחמה חיים בצד הארי באופן בלתי לגלי עם אשתו ושני ילדיו; הגירה ב-1946 ל-Berlin, אח"כ ל-Paris ומחודש מאי 1952 חיים בקנדה. סיפור גבורה של אם יהודיה, ששמע מפי בנה, Jozek Rebhahn מ-Przemysl: גירוש ל-Belzec באחד הטרנפורטים בקו Jaroslaw - Belzec; הצגת תכנית הבריחה של האם לבנה לאחר שהרכבת עברה את Jaroslaw; דחיפתו של הבן מבעד לדלת הקרון עם הוראה לרוץ לכיוון היער וקפיצתה אחריו במטרה למשוך אליה את כדורי השומרים הגרמנים; הריגתה של האם בסמוך לרכבת והסתתרות הבן בעומק היער לפי תכנונה; הבן שרד את המלחמה במסתור.
